May 3 – World Press Freedom Day Maio 3, 2008

«The rights to life and to liberty and integrity and security of person and also to freedom of expression are fundamental human rights that are recognized and guaranteed by international conventions and instruments» (UNESCO Resolution, General Conference 1997).

Independent, free and pluralistic media have a crucial role to play in the good governance of democratic societies, by ensuring transparency and accountability, promoting participation and the rule of law, and contributing to the fight against poverty.

Blogging is one of the newest manifestations how people can express freely their ideas and opinions. I blog.
