The Legend Of Fall

I’m falling slowly… moving right and left… totally depending on the winds that came from the east or the west…
My body is pale… I can see it even that I’m closing my eyes, because i don’t know what the benefit of opening them is; I will touch the soil in anyway…
I passed my life looking at the sun, until she burnt me by her rays…
Now I left my existence… I left my reality…
I left everything to be a blank paper in the legend of seasons…
Will someone write a word of love on me, so i believe that my fall is not a fall, but a life…

Tarde de mais… – Florbela Espanca

Luar
Quando chegaste enfim, para te ver
Abriu-se a noite em mágico luar;
E para o som de teus passos conhecer
Pôs-se o silêncio, em volta, a escutar…

Chegaste, enfim! Milagre de endoidar!
Viu-se nessa hora o que não pode ser:
Em plena noite, a noite iluminar
E as pedras do caminho florescer!

Beijando a areia de oiro dos desertos
Procurara-te em vão! Braços abertos,
Pés nus, olhos a rir, a boca em flor!

E há cem anos que eu era nova e linda!…
E a minha boca morta grita ainda:
Porque chegaste tarde, ó meu Amor?!…

Florbela Espanca (n. Vila Viçosa, 8 Dec. 1894; m. Matosinhos 8 Dec 1930)
