Portugal mantém vício de ganhar e derrota a Croácia Novembro 12, 2005

P é que está a dar: Portugal – Petit – Pauleta

Sem Figo, sem Deco, sem Maniche … e mesmo assim Portugal venceu sem dúvidas a selecção de futebol da Croácia que nos desapontou um tanto.

O jogo não foi de grande intensidade e vibração. O público não compareceu em Coimbra em número que esta selecção de Portugal merecia. Talvez aquelas ausencias e o tempo frio não tivesse cativado mais gente. Porém Portugal sem fazer uma grande exibição mostrou que tem gente para ter uma boa prestação na fase final do Mundial 2006.

Portugal apresentou-se com Ricardo Carvalho e Fernando Meira a centrais, Caneira à esquerda e Miguel à direita. Costinha e Petit (com este mais adiantado) no meio, Boa Morte e Cristiano Ronaldo nas alas, Tiago na posição de organizador e Pauleta na frente.

Logo no 1º. minuto a bola esteve no fundo da baliza dos croatas mas Pauleta servido excelentemente por Cristiano Ronaldo, partiu de fora de jogo e não valeu. Aos 4′ Boa Morte pela esquerda ludibria dois adversários e o cruzamento para a pequena área foi desviado para canto. Aos 14′ na sequência de canto, Cristiano Ronaldo foi agarrado naqueles lances tradicionais na área que os árbitros portugueses não marcam e este Kim Nielson também não. Aos 22′ Portugal usufruiu de livre muito perigoso por falta sobre Cristiano Ronaldo de marcado por Pauleta mas contra a barreira.

Portugal controlava o jogo, com destaque para boas iniciativas de Cristiano Ronaldo (só parado em falta) e passes a rasgar de Tiago e inaugurou (merecidamente)o marcador num grande pontapé livre, de longe de Petit aos 32′.

Os croatas aos 35 ganharam um canto e estiveram perto de empatar com um remate à entrada da área a fazer bater a bola na barra e a ressaltar para o terreno de jogo.

Aos 35′ e 41′ amarelos para Kovac e Leko, respectivamente por faltas sobre Cristiano Ronaldo.

Uma primeira parte de superioridade evidente de Portugal, ainda que sem oportunidades flagrantes de golo enquanto os croatas só nos dois cantos que disfrutaram criaram perigo.

Na 2ª. parte a Crácia operou logo duas substituições mas o rumo do jogo não mudou muito. Em mais um canto os croatas criam perigo após mau alívio com os punhos de Ricardo, mas a bola saiu por cima. Na 1ª. substituição em Portugal entra Paulo ferreira e saiu Miguel. Notava-se uma maior subida no terreno dos croatas com o andar do tempo e foi numa jogada rápida de Cristiano Ronaldo a sair com a bola da intermediária defensiva e a servir Pauleta ligeiramente para a direita, contemporizou foi no um para um puxando a bola para fora e rematou cruzado a meia altura, surpreendendo Bulina e fazendo o 2-0 para Portugal aos 65′.

Sucederam-se as substituições (mais na selecção portuguesa) e o jogo foi para o fim com Nuno Gomes em tempo de descontos quase a fazer o 3-0 em lance semelhante ao de Pauleta mas aqui com a bola a sair rasteira e ao lado.

Boas exibições de Petit, Tiago, Boa Morte e Cristiano Ronaldo e notou-se ainda intranquilidade em Ricardo patente nas jogadas mal resolvidas de bola aérea e nas colocações de bola com os pés. Da Croácia o perigo só apareceu da marcação de pontapés de canto.
