Benfica prossegue na Taça de Portugal ao eliminar o Leixões Outubro 26, 2005

Leixões 1 – 2 Benfica

O Benfica cumpriu a sua obrigação e acaba de vencer no Estádio do Bessa a equipa do Leixões da Divisão de Honra. Mas não foi fácil.

A primeira parte foi um excelente espectáculo com o jogo aberto com o Leixões nos primeiros minutos a jogar descomplexado mas com o Benfica a responder de imediato e em poucos minutos a criar várias oportunidades de golo. Logo aos 7′ uma reposição de bola deficiente do guarda-redes de Matosinhos isolou Mantorras que caiu estorvado por um defesa que fez o carrinho mas não tocou na bola caindo Mantorras de seguida. Pareceu-nos penalty que Carlos Xistra não assinalou. Logo a seguir uma grande jogada individual de Karagounis a tirar o defesa da frente com uma finta e a rematar para uma defesa excelente do guarda-redes Marco. Finalmente o golo numa jogada de inspiração de Simão que faz um chapéu inaugurando o marcador.

O Benfica apesar de várias mudanças na constituição da equipa aparecia assim com uma postura séria, competitiva e o avanço no marcador era normal. Porém, o Leixões que acusou alguma pressão inicial visível em maus passes na linha defensiva, a perder libertou-se e equilibrava totalmente o jogo criando mesmo algum perigo na marcação de pontapés de canto sesgados à baliza por Nuno Amaro.

Uma infantilidade de Beto toque com a mão na bola entre a linha de fundo e a linha linha lateral da grande área defensiva dá livre que Nuno Amaro marca exemplarmente, de angulo difícil, concretizando o empate.

Na segunda parte o jogo não teve a mesma qualidade. Muito confronto físico, muitas faltas, muitas interrupções e sem oportunidades até aos 65′. A partir daqui os leixonenses começaram a acusar muitos problemas físicos e a superioridade do Benfica, mesmo jogando mal no meio-campo começou a evidenciar-se principalmente com as entradas de Nuno Gomes e Kariaka para os lugares de Carlitos (mais uma vez titular e sem jogar nada!) e de Karagounis (já amarelado e com queixas físicas). Kariaka tem duas oportunidades evitadas pelo guarda-redes e defesa respectivamente, esta última já depois do Leixões ter substituído por razões físicas o guarda-redes Marco, por Baptista. Aos 85′ Simão recupera uma bola (em falta) e depois remata de fora da área marcando mais um golo fenomenal. Curiosamente antes deste lance num falhanço de Anderson o Leixões em superioridade numérica desperdiçara com um remate de Marco Cadete por cima da barra a única oportunidade que teve durante a segunda parte.

A arbitragem num jogo difícil esteve bem na análise dos fora de jogo mas mal na marcação de faltas, tendo na nossa opinião errado em dois lances fulcrais: penalty sobre Mantorras e falta de Simão antes do 2º. golo.
