Ó Evaristo tens cá disto?

Em 15 de Agosto de 1886 nasce em Lisboa António Maria da Silva; Grande actor português, também foi realizador (“Convém Martelar” no Brasil).

Protagonizou momentos inolvidáveis que ficam na História do entretenimento em Portugal, contracenando designadamente com Vasco Santana. Quem não se lembra de “Ó Evaristo tens cá disto? ” ou “Chapéus há muitos seu palerma”.

Em 1944 ganhou o prémio de actor do ano do SNI, pelo seu desempenho em “A Menina da Rádio”.

Filmes como o Costa do Castelo , A Menina da Rádio, A Vizinha do Lado, O Leão da Estrela, O Grande Elias, O Noivo das Caldas, As pupilas do Sr. Reitor ficam como exemplos do seu enorme talento.

Depois de uma carreira artística bem recheada viria a falecer em 3 de Março de 1971

Tem na toponímica de Lisboa uma rua com o seu nome (Rua do Actor Antonio Silva). Também o concelho de Sintra o homanegou ao atribuir o seu nome ao Auditório Municipal de Agualva do Cacém, denominado a partir de 7 de Março de 2003, Auditório Municipal António Silva.

U2 awarded top Portuguese honour

The President of Portugal Jorge Sampaio presented, yesterday, the Order of Liberty to the veteran four-piece in recognition of their humanitarian efforts, before their concert in Lisbon. “Over the past 25 years the band has allied its public exposure to the defence of human rights” was the motive for this condecoration.

“O Benni estava a fazer um bom jogo, mas não pode fazer faltas como a que fez. Na minha equipa não pode haver indisciplina e já tive oportunidade de dizer, durante o estágio, que não admito que a minha equipa veja 90 cartões numa época. Ter respeito pelos adversários e ter uma atitude desportiva é muito importante para mim. Uma equipa não entra em campo para lutar, para ser violenta. A minha equipa tem de ser mais inteligente que as outras, jogar mais rápido e ser melhor tecnicamente. Em Portugal, como em todo o lado, cabe aos árbitros a responsabilidade de proteger o espectáculo”.
Muito bem Sr. Adriaanse. Como está a mudar o FC Porto! O Sr. Jaime Pacheco a ler isto é que deve estar a dar uma sonora gargalhada.
