Benfica – Agora já não faltam 9 mas apenas 8 finais Março 19, 2005

Vitória F. C. 0 – 2 S. L. Benfica
O Benfica derrotou o Setúbal no caminho cheio de armadilhas para o título

V. SETÚBAL – Paulo Ribeiro; Manuel José, Hugo Alcântara, Auri e Veríssimo; Sandro, Ricardo Chaves e Bruno Ribeiro; Bruno Moraes, Jorginho e Meyong.

BENFICA – Quim; Miguel, Luisão, Ricardo Rocha e Dos Santos; Geovanni, Petit, Manuel Fernandes e Simão; Nuno Assis e Karadas.

Ao fim do primeiro minuto o Benfica perdia Petit (substituido por Bruno Aguiar) rasteirado por um vitoriano e depois com Bruno Morais a cair em cima dele em lance mais típico de “wrestling” do que de futebol. O Vitória entrou muito forte, muito agressivo (nem sempre no bom sentido) e criou muitas dificuldades ao Benfica no primeiro quarto de hora. Aos 8′ Jorginho tem um excelente remate para uma defesa vistosa de Quim para canto e noutro lance de alguma confusão na área do Benfica o Vitória esteve perto de marcar mas o remate de Hugo Alcantara foi ao lado.

Aos 13′ o Benfica conseguiu finalmente a primeira incursão de ataque pela esquerda com Dos Santos a cruzar e ver a bola bater na barra da baliza.

Aos 15′ percebeu-se que o Benfica tinha uma tarefa com mais dificuldades do que aquelas que o adversário lhe colocava. Geovanni lançado em profundidade perante a saída de Paulo Ribeiro , toca a bola tirando-a do g. redes e depois o choque num penalty clássico que só quando é favorável ao Benfica é que não se marca. Não se lembram do Nacional – Benfica? [Até na época passada marcaram no Benfica-Sporting quando Moreira não tocou no Liedson!].

No entanto, o Benfica passou a ter ascendente no jogo e viu aos 28′ Simão aproveitar um erro clamoroso de Veríssimo para lhe titrar a bola em antecipação e quando caminhava isolado foi agarrado para um cartão vermelho “sem espinhas”.

Rachão não mexeu de imediato na equipa, que ainda teve aos 40′ uma excelente jogada de contra ataque iniciada por Jorginho continuada na esquerda por Meyong para um cruzamento para na área Bruno Morais cabecear mas ao lado. Foi o canto do cisne do Vitória que pouco depois sofria o primeiro golo encarnado num remate de fora da área por Manuel Fernandes, com culpas para Paulo Ribeiro.

No início da segunda parte Rachão tirou Meyong para entrar Binho e o Benfica apareceu a controlar o jogo. Trocava a bola no meio campo ofensivo e beneficiou de vários pontapés de canto, mas curiosamente sem dar muito trabalho ao guarda redes do Vitória. Foi o Setúbal que teve aos 55′ hipótes de chegar ao 1-1 num deslize de Luisão que Bruno Morais não aproveitou. Aos 62′ o árbitro mostra amarelo a Ricardo Rocha num lance em que nem sequer falta fez. Mas aos 64′ o Benfica acaba com as dúvidas após lance pela direita de Miguel com a defesa do Vitória descompensada é Auri que afasta a bola mas incompletamente e Geovanni à entrada da área de pé esquerdo, com a bola a bater de novo em Auri vai para o fundo da baliza, desta vez sem qualquer hipótese para o guarda-redes.

Depois do 0-2 o jogo perdeu interesse com o Benfica a controlar a bola e o resultado mas sem interesse em procurar mais golos e o Vitória conformado e incapaz. Tempo para realçar ainda a má arbitragem, sem qualquer critério disciplinar, deixando passar amarelos por faltas nítidas (Bruno Ribeiro com agarrão a Geovanni que tinha todo o flanco direito aberto e Binho com agarrão recorrente sobre Karadas).

O Benfica venceu por ter beneficiado de erros do Vitória e viu a tarefa dificultada por erros da arbitragem. É de mais. Um penalty, faltas sobre faltas sobre Simão ficaram quase invariavelmente impunes (marcou uma!), sem critério disciplinar (vá lá salvou-se o vermelho ao Veríssimo), um fora de jogo marcado por Delacroix ao Simão digno de figurar no Guiness, com mais de 4 metros em jogo! De que têm medo? Bem não é preciso dizer quem apareceu esta semana a falar das arbitragens dos jogos do Benfica pois não?

No outro jogo do dia o Boavista empatou em Penafiel 1-1 e ao que parece (não assistimos ao jogo) o Boavista não teve capacidade para justificar melhor resultado, passando a ter agora uma distância de 6 pontos para o Benfica.
