Chelsea 4 – 2 Barcelona
Quartos de final da liga dos campeões entre as duas equipas que nas apostas surgiam nos dois primeiros lugares no favoritismo para ganhar a Liga dos Campeões desta época.

Aos 16′ o Barcelona dispunha de 67% de posse de bola contra e o Chelsea 33% e o resultado era … 2-0 para o Chelsea e mais uma grande oportunidade perdida por Lampard. É verdade. Futebol directo, objectivo e mortífero do Chelsea.

Aos 7′ o 1º. golo – contra-ataque pela direita por J. Cole cruzamento impecável para Gudjhonsen que tira um adversário do caminho e remata vitorioso.

Aos 12′ na sequência de um canto Lampard perde o 2-0.

Aos 14′ outra vez Lampard pela direita corta na diagonal remata a bola tabela num defesa do Barcelona, Valdez tem de inflectir os movimentos e apenas consegue desviar a bola com uma palmada para Lampard fazer a recarga fácil.

Aos 19′ Recuperação de bola lançamento imediato em profundidade para o meio e Duff de primeira factura! 3-0 Impressionante. Nunca o futebol se aproximou tanto da matemática. Espectacular.

Mas o futebol não é matemática e a equipa do Chelsea também comete erros e quem diria um erro dum português. Lance sem grande perigo bola cruzada para a entrada da área do Chelsea e Paulo Ferreira salta com o braço alto e na bola! Colina , penalty. Ronaldinho 3-1 (26′). Antes Ronaldinho de cabeça após canto atirara a rasar o poste. Ou seja, o Barcelona estava na luta. Um só golo separavam as equipas.

Ronaldinho, demora do meio campo defensivo do Chelsea na cobertura, à entrada da área frente a Ricardo Carvalho, baila um, tenta o outro fechar as pernas, remate e golo! A bola a entrar junto ao poste esquerdo de Ceck sem hipóteses para este (38′).

Aos 44′ E’too quase faz o 3-3, bola por cima da barra. Meio minuto volvido e Joe Cole (grande exibição) atira ao poste de Valdez. Intervalo, ainda bem, que os espectadores também precisam de descansar das emoções dum jogo destes.

Na 2ª. parte o Barcelona entra melhor continuando com mais posse de bola. A certa altura desconfia-se que o Chelsea não é capaz de “virar as coisas” . Aos 61′ defesa incrível de Ceck em cima da linha ou até parcialmente? para além da linha de baliza depois dum canto do Barcelona. Aos 73′ grande jogada individual de Iniesta e remate de fora da área ao poste! Este lance disse-nos que os deuses estavam com os ingleses.

Aos 76′ de um canto Terry de cabeça faz o 4-2. Logo a seguir entrada de Tiago para o lugar de Gudjhonsen. Tiago que passa a ser o “companheiro” de marcação de Deco, não tendo pejo em fazer faltas na zona de meio-campo. Jogo de treinadores nas substituições Giuly e Maxi Lopez mais tarde a entrarem no Barcelona. Robert Huth (outro central) no Chelsea. Ataca o Barcelona, defende o Chelsea…. até ao fim.

Festejos loucos de Mourinho! Sensacional jogo. Destes, a não ser que o “coração” falhasse os adeptos podem ver cinco seguidos. Mas quem pode proprocionar jogos destes?

Árbitro: Colina com a autoridade que se lhe reconhece, mas em pequenas coisas, não foi nada caseiro.

O Benfica vai visitar o Estrela da Amadora, enquanto o Vitória de Setúbal recebe o Boavista, ditou o sorteio das meias-finais daTaça de Portugal da Época 2004/2005. Os jogos estão agendados para o dia 20 de Abril.
